How is your Jag these days? I fixed my reverse lights recently.

Very close to being a running, driving car again. I just need to find the time to get all the small fiddly bits done.

Do I recall correctly that that involves taking the bumper off? There was certainly *something* trivial that involved pulling it on mine when I had one, and I did do a cracked lens, but I can’t remember if they were the same job. It was a PITA though, thanks to mine having a tow bar.

No, it turned out the reverse light and start inhibit switch conveniently located on the side of the transmission ( where the selector rod attaches) needed to be adjusted slightly.

Funny you mention the tail lights, the lens and assembly unscrew quite easily to reveal the plug where the fuel level  sender is mounted. You can pop it out and have a look inside the tank (didn’t look too bad to me). One of mine doesn’t work and I found replacements pretty cheap so I’m fixing that soon.

Keep at it, it really is a nice driving car. The ride is almost as good as any American land yacht with vastly superior handling.
